The Triple Glory Braid is a variation on the single Glory and the Hair Plait Braid. By tripling this braid, it also triples its effectiveness, as well as bringing good luck into the home!

It is a broom-shaped plait, which was said to be hung within the home to sweep away evil, and bring friends in the door. People in Devonshire, in England say it derives from the old popular saying:

“To have a house filled with friends is a glory indeed!”

Others say it is linked to the Bible. This design being created from 12 straws, it was said to be linked to the Twelve Apostles, displaying the “Glory of God”. It was often created to adorn pew ends during Harvest Festival celebrations within Churches.
